Peanut oil also known as groundnut oil  is a popular vegetable oil used for cooking , mostly for frying due to its high smoke point. Foods fried with peanut oil have excellent palatability, flavor and crispiness. The high oil yielding fresh peanuts are cleaned, shelled, pressed using wooden chekku (Marachekku) and finally filtered to extract additive free, hygenic oil. While refined peanut oil is lighter in color, less viscous and neutral taste, cold pressed peanut oil has amber yellow color, more viscosity and distinct quality in aroma and taste.
