The small round seeds of many mustard plants are known as mustard seeds. They vary in colour, and are available in yellow and brown. Each seed is about one to two millimetres in diameter. As a whole, they do not have any fragrance or flavour. The flavour of mustard seeds is released when they are crushed or roasted. These are winter crops and are grown all around the world. Mustard has many uses in both culinary and medicinal aspects.
